- The Whole Dog Journal
- Whole Dog Journal provides unbiased natural dog food reviews, holistic dog care advice and positive dog training tips. From agility training to making your own dog food, WDJ's canine experts will explain it all. The Whole Dog Journal is our favorite dog magazine.
- The Bark
- Bark is "the magazine of modern dog culture," showing readers how to live smartly and rewardingly with their canine companions. It features the writing of acclaimed authors, including animal behaviorist Patricia McConnell and nutritionist Marion Nestle.
- Therapy dog resources
- Links to our favorite sites about animal-assisted therapy.
- Healing Paws, Inc.
- Healing Paws is a professional provider of animal-assisted interaction (AAI) in many Seattle area health care facilities. Christi Dudzik, president and licensed mental health counselor, also trains dog owners to volunteer with their dogs, as well as health care professionals who wish to utilize their dogs as tools in their work.
- Delta Society
- Delta Society is dedicated to improving human health through therapy and service animals. Find useful information about Pet Partners Program, therapy and service animal programs, pet vests and badges, Delta logo merchandise and more.
- Angel on a Leash
- Westminster Kennel Club's charity Angel On A Leash has a simple goal: to create the best therapy dog programs in health care facilities and other settings. They are based in New York City, but work with facilities across the country.
- Positive dog trainers
- These trainers use positive methods to train dogs, which we love!
- Peaceable Paws Dog and Puppy Training
- Peaceable Paws, located in Fairplay, MD, uses training methods that incorporate a strong commitment to positive reinforcement and reward in place of old-fashioned coercion and use of force. Trainer Pat Miller has been training dogs for 35 years. She has also authored several books and is the training editor for The Whole Dog Journal.

- Bikki Bear Puppies
- The Bikki Bear is a hybrid/designer dog resulting from the combination of Shih-Tzu and Bichon Frise with a few other toy breeds in the mix. Resembling teddy bears, these pups are soft, non-shedding and usually hypo-allergenic.
These adorable little balls of fluff have been gently home-raised in a clean environment with parents on site in the Seattle area. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these puppies goes to fight human trafficking.
- Brier Golden Retrievers
- ...where sound temperament and trainability go paw-in-hand.
Located just south of Portland, Oregon, breeder Gina Heitz raises her pups on a raw diet. She's very knowledgable about canine health and nutrition. Gina is also active in rescue, canine cancer research and other issues benefiting dogs.
